Antitrust lawyer Ninette Dodoo has been hired by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for the firm’s practice in China, say reports. She will serve as counsel and deputy head of the practice in Beijing.
The move marks Dodoo’s end to her 14 years at Clifford Chance, where she served for a time as the head of the firm’s competition group.
Dodoo is well versed in Chinese competition law, having dealt with high-profile cases in the nation and advising clients for probes by the nation’s National Development & Reform Commission.
In a statement, Freshfields co-head of competition John Davies described Dodoo as one of “only a small number of internationally experienced antitrust lawyers operating in the China market.”
