Chinese regulators announced an investigation into Swiss food packager Tetra Pak over accusations the company is abusing its dominant market position. According to reports, the probe suggests Beijing is stepping up its regulatory watch over foreign companies in the country. The State administration for Industry in Commerce announced it has hired more than 20 agencies to investigate the Swiss conglomerate; Tetra Pak confirmed the news and said it would fully comply with regulators. The news comes days after another major Swiss company, Nestle, announced it would likely reduce prices of its infant milk formula products within China after Chinese authorities confirmed an investigation into the baby formula market for suspicions of price-fixing.
