China: Tech world watches as NDRC preps Qualcomm ruling

 |  December 4, 2014

The highly anticipated decision by Chinese competition officials regarding alleged anticompetitive conduct by the world’s largest chipmaker Qualcomm is expected to be announced in the coming days, reports say.

Shanghai’s China Business News reports that the National Development and Reform Commission has decided to impose fines on Qualcomm and order a reduction in its patent licensing fees, though the NDRC has not officially announced its ruling.
