CNC report calls for “more intense and quicker reduction” in prices for mobile call termination
The Comisión Nacional de la Competencia released its report on a measure proposed by the Spanish Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT) to regulate wholesale prices for call termination on mobile networks.
The CNC has decided that the CMT “should introduce a more intense and quicker reduction in the maximum termination prices for mobile calls,” noting that the prices established by the CMT are higher than those in comparable countries. The recommended reduction in prices will make it easier for smaller operators to reduce their retail prices.
