Mexico’s Federal Competition Commission has approved Jugos del Valle’s proposed acquisition of Santa Clara. Jugos del Valle is jointly owned by Coca-Cola and the Mexican bottlers of Coca-Cola brand products. Santa Clara is a Mexican dairy farm that produces milk, yogurt, ice cream, and other dairy products. The deal signals Coca-Cola’s expansion into dairy products and noncarbonated beverages in the Mexican market.
