Competition Bureau kicks off Fraud Prevention Month with panel discussions and updated website
The Competition Bureau has announced a series of anti-fraud initiatives to kick off Fraud Prevention Month. To address this year’s theme of Building Consumer Confidence, the Competition Bureau is organization three panel discussions on fighting fraud and raising awareness. Panelists include experts from law enforcement agencies, academia, businesses and consumer groups. The discussions will be held at the University of Ottawa on March 6, at the University of Alberta in Edmonton on March 8, and at Concordia University in Montreal on March 13.
The Competition Bureau’s website has also been updated with fraud-fighting tools, such as a fraud quiz, victim stories, and tips on recognizing fraud.
