District Court sides with AS Tallinna Vesi and against Competition Authority

Estonia’s Tallinn District Court has ruled that AS Tallinna Vesi had the right to delegate the power to set water rates. The ruling supports the utility’s claims against the Competition Authority, which contests AS Tallinna Vesi’s right to raise rates. In October of last year, the Authority had declared that AS Tallinna Vesi’s privatization contract was illegal.
