EU: Commission approves automotive merger despite sales overlap

The European Commission has approved of a merger between automotive company Valeo’s Comfort Access Mechanism division, based in France, and equipment manufacturer U-Shin, based in Japan, despite finding competition overlap in some markets. According to the Commission, the two companies overlap in sales of “several” automotive components, though agreed to the merger finding sufficient competition remains despite the overlap.
