EU/India: Competition regulators to ink deal this week

The Competition Commission of India and the European Commission are set to finalize an agreement this week to strengthen information sharing practices, along with other cooperative measures.

    Reports say the authorities will sign their Memorandum of Understanding this week during the Third BRICS International Competition conference, to be held in India at the end of the week.

    The pact will allow the two regulators to collaborate with each other on competition law enforcement practices to facilitate effective enforcement. Similar agreements have been inked between India and the US, Australia and Russia in recent years.
