European Commission approves dairy joint venture

 |  February 21, 2012

The European Commission has cleared a proposed joint venture between SENOBLE and AGRIAL. SENOBLE manufactures and sells fresh dairy products; AGRIAL is an agricultural cooperative group involved in milk collection. The joint venture, SENAGRAL will operate in the production and sale of private label fresh dairy products in France, Germany and Benelux.

The Commission found that despite the overlap in the supply of raw cow’s milk in France that the joint venture creates, sufficient competition in the market overcomes antitrust concerns.
