Federal Court slams Clear Telecoms for misleading bundled offer and third line forcing

The Federal Court has made declarations by consent that Clear Telecoms engaged in both misleading and deceptive conduct and third line forcing in its bundled telecom sales. Clear Telecoms, which no longer exists, had offered deals that bundled telecom services with free equipment rental agreements and call credits. Two small businesses signed up for the offer, but were also unknowingly signed up with an unrelated finance company, as a matter of third line forcing.
