Finland: Parliament declares dominant market position for retailers

The Finnish Parliament declared the nation’s two leading retailers, S-group and Kesko, as holding dominant positions in the market with the passing of the Government Bill. The legislation sets a threshold of 30 percent market share to determine which companies are dominant; firms in the nation’s consumer goods sector are considered dominant if they surpass that threshold. The bill becomes effective January 1 of next year.
