France: Orange speaks out against Bouygues, SFR sharing deal

French wireless operator Orange has reportedly lodged a complaint with antitrust regulators regarding rivals’ Bouygues and SFR and their network-sharing deal.

Reports say Orange has filed its complaint and demanded a detailed analysis of the venture’s impact on the market, arguing the network-sharing deal covers too much geographical area.

The antitrust authority confirmed it received the complaint, reports say.

Bouygues and SFR inked their joint venture agreement last January to cut costs. Bouygues had rivaled Numericable to acquire SFR earlier this year, but the bid ultimately failed.
