The French Competition Authority is preparing to hand down fines to member of an alleged French yogurt price fixing carted the French newspaper Le Figaro reported on Wednesday.
The newspaper said that the Autorite de la Concurrence is ready to conclude its three-year investigation into allegations of price fixing by a number f France’s leading yogurt producers.
The complaint is that several companies held meetings in hotels, kept secret records and used telephones registered in other names to conspire to exchange “sensitive information.”
A spokes person for the commission said they would conclude their investigation soon.
