The European Commission has approved Boston Holding’s acquisition of a joint controlling interest in Borkum Riffgrund I, a wind farm in northern Germany. The deal calls for Boston Holding to own the wind farm jointly with DONG Energy Borkum Riffgrund, which is the wind farm’s current sole owner. The Commission determined that the deal will not change the structure of the markets for wholesale electricity supply, wind farm development and retail electricity.
