Global: Morgan Lewis completes 750-lawyer grab

Morgan Lewis announced Monday that it has officially welcomed more than 750 lawyers from struggling firm Bingham McCutchen days after reports emerged of the hires.

    According to Morgan Lewis, the new litigators give the firm a dominant presence in several areas around the world, including the east and west coasts of the US. The hires further allowed the firm to open new offices in California and Connecticut, according to reports.

    The firm noted in a press release how the 750 lawyers strengthens its antitrust practice and expands its presence in Asia.

    Morgan Lewis made no comment on Bingham McCutchen, however.
