The CCI fined the gas giant last July for abusing its market dominance after an investigation into the company’s practices of gas supply and distribution.

In addition to the fines, reports say the CCI ordered Adani to alter its gas sales agreements to comply with competition rules.

In its findings, the CCI said Adani is in a “dominant position in the relative market of supply and distribution of natural gas to industrial consumers” in certain jurisdictions.

The Tribunal sent a notice to the CCI confirming that it has heard Adani’s appeal of the ruling, though no further details were immediately available.
