India: CCI looks for new Director General

    The post would be filled on a deputation basis, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs said in a circular.

    The secretaries of all the ministries in the central government, chief secretaries to state governments and union territories, chairman of CBDT and CBEC, CBI Director, SFIO Director have been informed in this regard.

    The candidate applying for the post should be “a person of integrity and outstanding ability with experience in investigation and knowledge of accountancy, management, business, public administration, international trade, law or economies etc,” the circular said.

    The Director General’s office is the probe arm of the CCI. The regulator, which keeps a tab on unfair trade practices across sectors, comes under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
