India: Nation’s largest software exporter to combine two subsidiaries

The Competition Commission of India has announced its approval for two subsidiaries of Tata Consultancy Services to be restructured. E-Service and TIEL, two divisions of the nation’s largest software exporter, are to be combined, though TCS will continue to control the new subsidiary. The CCI did not find any threat to competition due to the resulted entity’s continuation under TCS.
