Israel: Travel agency raided in ongoing investigation

Back in January, Israel’s Antitrust Authority revealed that, together with the police, it was looking into allegations that key figures involved in organizing and marketing high-schoolers’ trips Poland had worked together to prevent competition and fixed the prices of these excursions.

    IAA raided the offices of the Issta travel agency July 21, and confiscated certain documents as part of its investigation of suspected antitrust offenses involving organized school trips to Poland.

    According to a statement from the IAA from early this year, the individuals involved are suspected of breaching antitrust law, aggravated fraud and money-laundering offenses. Certain figures are also suspected of bribery.
