Japan Airlines seeks antitrust immunity for joint venture with British Airways

 |  February 8, 2012

Japan Airlines seeks antitrust immunity from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for its proposed joint venture with British Airways. The venture would allow the airlines to share revenue and coordinate schedules for routes between Europe and Japan. JAL has services from Tokyo to London, Frankfurt, Paris, and Moscow. British Airways flies from London to Tokyo’s two airports, Narita and Haneda.
