    Japan’s smartphone legislation combines elements of both the EU’s and the US’s regulatory approaches, according to Reiko Aoki, Commissioner at Japan Fair Trade Commission. The recently introduced Smartphone Act seeks to balance the different bargaining power of consumers and platforms.
