Crown Holdings, a global leader in consumer packaging, today announced that Mexico’s Federal Competition Commission has approved its acquisition of EMPAQUE, a leading Mexican manufacturer of aluminum cans and ends, bottle caps and glass bottles for the beverage industry.
EMPAQUE, headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico, currently operates two beverage can plants, a plant that manufactures beverage can ends, aluminum closures and bottle caps. Crown Holdingsis a leading manufacturer of packaging products for consumer marketing companies around the world.
The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
