Netherlands: Communications merger announced, but no word on NMa action

The Dutch Competition Authority, the NMa, may soon look into Ziggo’s recently-announced acquisition of Espirit Telecom, which provides voice and data services in the Netherlands. According to a press release by Ziggo, a major entertainment and communications company that operates through television and Internet, the deal is estimated to be worth more than $23 million.
