New Zealand: Timetable revised to offer unbundled cable

As the Commerce Commission continues its efforts to ensure unbundled broadband to consumers, the authority has released the latest update on the process. According to a press release, the regulator has completed a timeline established for determining a cost-based price for wholesale cable, also known as unbundled bitstream access. Additionally, the authority announced that a conference will be held in June to discuss the options for such an endeavor. The original timetable for the plan has been revised since the government first announced it would delay its deadline for prices for unbundled bitstream access to become official, slated for a 2015 date.
