Pharmacy groups asked by FTC to suggest remedies for Medco-Express Scripts

The National Community Pharmacists Association and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores has issued a joint statement in which they state that the FTC asked the two pharmacy groups for ways to revise the Medco-Express Scripts deal. The groups, who have been opposed to the acquisition, have responded with suggestions for possible remedies. However, the joint statement also affirms continued criticism of the transaction, and that their preference is for the FTC not to settle, but fight the merger in court.
