Philippines: Chevron slammed with price-fixing allegations at pumps

The Justice Secretary of the Philippines Leila de Lima announced that she expects a petition filed with regulators against gas giant Chevron Philippines to be reviewed in a swift manner and for a resolution to be reached by the Office of Secretary without delay. Chevron is accused of anticompetitive business practices including price-fixing and unfair trade; local fuel distributor Petroleum Distributors and Services Corporation filed the charges against the company. According to the distributor, Chevron fixed fuel prices at gas stations through product maker Caltex Coco.
