The Polish Association of Corporate Lawyers and law firm Wierzbowski Eversheds have joined to co-author a published guide to key issues of competition policy meant to help businesses comply with competition policy in their everyday operations.
Reports say the guidance outlines how the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, as well as the European Commission, tackle issues that businesses may come across. The review also examines case law of the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection, the European Court of Justice and others.
Reports say the publication also looks to guide businesses through the planned amendments to the Competition and Consumer Protection Act, which was cleared by the government last July. Among the most significant changes includes the introduction of fast-track merger reviews in certain cases, individual liability for violations, and the ability to voluntarily submit to penalties.
