Poland: Netia gets green light for TK Telekom acquisition

Polish service provider Netia has signed a deal to acquire 100% ownership of TK Telekom, after receiving a green light from the country’s competition watchdog. Netia signed a preliminary share sale deal with TK Telekom owner PKP in March.

    Netia strategy and development director Andrzej Kondracki said that the acquisition would help strengthen Netia’s position in the business-to-business segment. The group will acquire a backbone network comprising 7,500km of fibre and is expected to increase its activity in the business segment by 28% based on 2014 figures.
