Russia: FAS/Telenor feud may end

Russia’s FAS has said it may be ready to drop its antitrust case against Telenor over its increase in stake of Vimpelcom. The lawsuit was filed last April after the telecommunications group had increased its dominance in the Russian market after the deal. Head of the FAS Igor Artemyev said in a statement that if the settlement goes through, all legal proceedings will cease. The Moscow Arbitration Court is still set to hear the case on November 27.
