Russia: Watchdog wants to raise local telephony rate ceiling

Russian federal competition regulator FAS has proposed to raise the local telephony rate ceiling for national operator Rostelecom by an average of 5 percent in 2016, reports Comnews.ru.

    The proposal includes a 5.5 percent increase in rates for retail users and a 3.9 percent increase for corporate users. The proposal follows an application by the national operator on regulated rates of its local, zonal and DLD-telephony services. The draft proposal is currently undergoing independent analysis.
