SAP Proposes Concessions to Resolve EU Antitrust Probe

    The proposal is intended to settle an ongoing EU investigation into the software giant’s business practices. Earlier this month, Reuters reported that such remedies were expected, signaling that SAP was preparing steps to ease regulatory pressure.

    SAP said in a statement that it does not foresee the probe affecting its financial outlook. “We are adhering to the procedure and timeline established by the European Commission,” it said. “We do not anticipate the proceeding will result in material impacts on our financial performance.” The company reiterated, per Reuters, that it expects no significant financial consequences as the process continues.

    EU regulators will now review feedback on SAP’s proposed remedies before deciding whether they sufficiently address competition concerns.
