T-Mobile asks FCC to block Verizon spectrum deal

T-Mobile has asked the Federal Communications Commission to block Verizon’s proposed acquisition of spectrum from cable companies Comcast, Time Warner, Bright House, and Cox. Verizon is the United States’ leading cell phone company; T-Mobile is fourth. The $3.9 billion deal would give Verizon “excessive concentration” of the wireless spectrum, according to T-Mobile’s filing.
