Taiwan: Winston & Strawn plants new roots to grow antitrust and IP practice

Winston & Strawn announced it has opened new office doors in Taiwan in efforts to spread its presence throughout Asia in the areas of antitrust and patent litigation, say reports.

    The new office marks the fourth for the firm in Asia; other locations include Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

    The first is looking to expand its operations in intellectual property and antitrust disputes, among other focus areas, as the firm strengthens operations with its International Trade Commission practice in the US.

    ”Taiwan is a key market for our US International Trade Commission Section 337 practice, and building a strong presence in Taipei will be an important factor in serving our growing number of clients,” managing partner David Hall-Jones said.
