Turkish Airlines has announced it acquisition of maintenance and repair company MNG Teknik. The deal, first announced last February, remains subject to approval by the Turkish Competition Authority. The airliner did not say how much it would buy the company for. According to reports, Turkish Airlines found it necessary to gain a stronger foothold into the maintenance, repair and overhaul industry and the buyout of MNG Teknik, as well as its subsidiary THY Technic will aid the airliner in doing so.
