U.K.: Antitrust authorities may unburden struggling yellow pages publisher

The Office of Fair trading has asked the Competition Commission to review whether undertakings given to yellow pages publisher Hibu (formerly Yell) remain appropriate. The company was told to cap Yellow Pages advertisement rates, and its ability to publish themed guides, was restricted in 2007. Competition against the Yellow Pages has been ruthless since the shift from traditional media to online and digital media, causing Hibu to remain in deep debt.
