U.K.: OFT approves Boporan/R F Brookes merger

Boparan Holdings Limited, which specializes in processed chicken product supply to retailers, has been approved for acquisition of R F Brookes. The deal originally included Avana bakeries, which was previously owned by Premier Foods Limited. But to remedy concerns by the OFT, BHL agreed to sell Avana to Sargents. The deal was not referred to the Competition Commission.
