U.S./E.U.: Boeing subsidies being challenged by the E.U.

The European Union on Tuesday protested that the U.S. has not ended illegal subsidy payments to Boeing Co, as mandated by the World Trade Organization. The EU plans to challenge the United States’ purported noncompliance before the WTO. In a statement posted by the European Commission, the U.S. had failed to either withdraw its subsidies for Boeing or neutralize its effect, and wrongly claimed that Boeing was in compliance with the WTO directive.
