U.S.: LCD exec to defend himself against price-fixing charges – again

After a previous case resulted in a deadlock against AU Optronics Corp. executive Steven Leung, the man is now facing a retrial and may again need to defend himself against charges that he was an “integral part” of the LCD price-fixing scheme that landed his business a $500 million fine. AU Optronics’ vice chairman and senior vice president were convicted last March. The Justice Department is calling Leung a “contact window” for the conspirators in its filing to San Francisco federal court.
