UK: Antitrust head of Jones Day London practice gets recruited

The head of Jones Day’s antitrust practice in London has been recruited in what reports say is a “rare” hiring by law firm Bingham McCutchen.

    Frances Murphy will join Bingham McCutchen after representing clients including the London Metal Exchange and AstraZeneca before the European Commission in various competition matters, as well as representing clients in cases with the UK Office of Fair Trading, Competition Commission, Competition Appeals Tribunal and the High Court. He had been with Jones Day since 2009.

    Reports say the firm did not say who would replace McCutchen, who marks the second lateral recruitment this year for Bingham.
