UK: Manchester law firm DWF agrees merger with Watmores

 |  April 23, 2015

Manchester law firm DWF has signed terms to merge with niche insurance practice Watmores.

The merger, expected to complete in May, will strengthen DWF’s insurance, rail and local authority sector capabilities.

It is the latest in the DWF expansion story. In 2006, it was a two-office north west firm and now employs more than 2,500 people operating across 13 locations.

Led by partners Simon Johnson and Ron Mullins, Watmores is a £2.5m turnover company with a reputation for delivering dispute resolution and litigation insurance services to many of the UK’s major insurers.

Based on Chancery Lane in London, the firm employs 26 people including five partners and directors, all of whom will move into DWF’s London office in the landmark Walkie Talkie building.
