UK: Playtech software buys gambling site for $50M

UK-based gaming software company Playtech announced Thursday its acquisition of gambling website PokerStrategy.com in a deal worth $49.2 million. In a statement, Playtech said it also bought several of the website’s subsidiaries and described the deal as “earnings enhancing.” Playtech bought the website from its previous owner Holdings Ltd.
