UK: Xchanging says CMA clears Agencyport acquisition

The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has formally approved Xchanging’s acquisition of Agencyport nine months after the outsourcing firm completed the deal.

    The approval confirms the provisional decision announced last month, which found that the deal would not result in a “substantial lessening of competition” in the market.

    In July 2014, Xchanging paid £64.1mn to acquire the European operations of the US insurance software company. The takeover will give Xchanging an additional customer base of more than 60 organisations.
