UPS and FedEx answer AFMS complaint, agree to trial date

UPS and FedEx have answered AFMS’s complaint alleging collusion and antitrust violations. AFMS claims that UPS and FedEx colluded to exclude dealings with third-party shipping consultants. AFMS is an independent shipping consultant specializing in negotiating small parcel and freight contracts. UPS and FedEx’s policies have also come under DOJ scrutiny, and a prelminary investigation is underway.
