Just two months after Apple announced plans to acquire audio equipment maker Beats for $3 billion, Beats competitor Bose filed a lawsuit claiming patent infringement. Now, reports say Apple has pulled all Bose products from its online store.
Bose filed a lawsuit against Beats with the International Trade Commission demanding a halt to the sales and imports of certain Beats products. While the companies settled the matter earlier this month under undisclosed terms, tensions still appear to be high.
Apple has reportedly pulled all 17 of the Bose products previously for sale in its online store; experts believe Apple’s acquisition of Beats likely prompted the company to pull Bose products following the legal dispute between the firms.
