US: Cargill continues grain spree with look into ADMs cocoa branch

Cargill is reportedly looking into acquiring the cocoa business of Archer Daniels Midland, said a source, though information was not disclosed over whether Cargill had already made a bid for the company. The cocoa business is worked about $2 billion. While the reports have not been confirmed by the parties, the deal would continue Cargill’s trend into the grain industry following the company’s recent buyout of GrainCorp, based in Australia, for $3 billion.
