US: Gov. Carney announces Supreme Court nominee

Gov. John Carney announced his nomination to appoint Gary F. Traynor to the Delaware Supreme Court. The Delaware Senate must approve the nomination.

Carney. “I am convinced that Gary has the judgment and thoughtfulness necessary to serve on the Supreme Court, and I look forward to the Delaware Senate considering his nomination.”

    Traynor brings experience in both the public and private sectors. He practiced law at Prickett, Jones & Elliott in Wilmington from 1990 to 2014. Since 2015, he has served as an assistant public defender, providing legal counsel to indigent Delawareans.
