Julia E. McEvoy returned to Jones Day’s antitrust group Tuesday after spending three years as the third-highest ranking official at the U.S. Department of Justice tasked with overseeing the Antitrust Division and the watchdog’s other civil enforcement units.
After stepping down from her role as deputy associate attorney general in early October, McEvoy returned as a partner to Jones Day, where she began her legal career in 1995.
“We’re very happy to welcome Julie back to the Firm,” said David Wales, the leader of Jones Day’s worldwide antitrust practice. “She is a first rate antitrust lawyer and colleague. Her recent experience at a senior level in the DOJ further strengthens our globally recognized antitrust team, particularly in the areas of antitrust litigation and international cartel matters.”
