US: Judge to lift secrets in AG Schneiderman’s Actavis lawsuit

Just weeks after New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman took on Actavis and its Forest Laboratories for an alleged pay-for-delay conspiracy, a federal judge has decided to lift some portions of the complaint Forest sought to keep under wraps.

According to reports, AG Schneiderman’s federal complaint filed last month was filled with blacked-out paragraphs as Forest claimed they contained trade secrets and confidential information. But reports say US District Judge Robert Sweet will remove significant portions of these blacked out paragraphs.

AG Schneiderman first launched an investigation in February into allegations that Forest paid to delay the entry of a generic rival for one of its Alzheimer’s pharmaceuticals.
