US: Mixed results for Oracle’s IP fight

Software firm Oracle saw mixed results in its fight against support provider Rimini Street and its alleged intellectual property violations, say reports.

    A court hearing has reportedly issued a summary judgment siding with Oracle in two of the four cases cited by Oracle, which accused Rimini of allowing illegal copies of Oracle software to be run on its systems.

    Reports say half of the incidences cited by Oracle had disputable facts that were not sufficient to side with the software company.

    But in two other disputes, reports say the case will move to trial.
